This Privacy Policy explains how Absolutely ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when home service professionals ("HSPs") use our task management platform.

Information we collect

Account information: business name, contact name, email, phone, trade type, and service area you provide during sign up.
Job and quote data: job details, quotes, invoices, notes, photos, and schedules you create inside the Platform.
Customer records: the customer contact details and property information you enter to manage your jobs.
Usage data: log data such as pages visited, features used, device type, and approximate location, used to keep the Platform secure and improve it.

How we use it

To operate the Platform and deliver the features you use to manage jobs.
To communicate service updates, security notices, and product news you can unsubscribe from.
To troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and keep accounts secure.
To improve the Platform based on aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data. We do not use your customer records to market to your customers.

Your role as a data controller

When you enter your customers' details into the Platform, you are the controller of that information and we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store it, for telling your customers how you use their information, and for responding to their privacy requests.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Platform (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, error monitoring, payment processing), and only to the extent needed to provide their services. These providers are contractually required to protect your information.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and standard operational safeguards to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to remove team members when they leave your business.

Retention

We keep your account and job data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain the information for a limited period to meet legal, accounting, and dispute resolution obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@getabsolutely.com. Your customers should contact you directly for requests about their personal information, since you are the controller of that data.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email.
